Susana Pacheco Moniz est née aux Açores sur l’île de Sao Miguel. Ses parents immigrent au Canada lorsqu’elle a six ans. Elle termine ses études secondaires, prend une formation en bureautique à Montréal. En 2002, elle décide d’élargir son champ de vision et suit une autre formation dans un domaine bien particulier : le massage de relaxation. Elle est présente sur Facebook si vous voulez la contacter.
Vous avez massé avant de prendre des cours dans ce domaine ?
En effet, j’ai tout simplement commencé pas masser une amie qui avait déjà son salon de coiffure et qui avait fait de l’esthétique. Elle a ressenti une sensation de bien-être par la puissance qui sortait de mes mains. Et elle a alors proposé de me louer une salle dans son salon pour mes débuts.
Ce n’était donc pas un choix de carrière ?
Non, au départ, c’était spécialement pour ma famille et mes amis, pas vraiment un choix de carrière. Seulement par la suite, j’ai vu qu’il y avait un fort besoin grandissant chez les clients(es).
Et vous aviez suivi des cours accélérés dans des écoles spécialisées ?
Oui, la formation que j’ai faite n’est pas une formation en massothérapie qui dure plus de 1000 heures de cours… mais plutôt une formation accélérée de 12 heures. Le but de mes massages est vraiment de vous détendre et de vous connecter avec l’Esprit de Dieu.
Qu’est-ce que le massage apporte donc au corps et à l’esprit ?
Le massage apporte un apaisement du système nerveux, et également une légère désintoxication du corps grâce aux huiles essentielles que j’utilise. Les plus grands bienfaits sont vraiment au niveau de l’âme et de l’esprit. Avant de me déplacer chez la cliente, je prie pour elle. Je demande à l’Esprit de Dieu de me révéler sa condition de santé, ses besoins spécifiques. Tout au long du massage je suis en contact avec le Saint-Esprit de Dieu. Une connexion se fait aussi entre la personne et Dieu.
Le massage vise-t-il certaines parties du corps ?
Dépendemment du travail ou des activités que la cliente fait, le besoin varie. Par exemple, pour une personne qui travaille plusieurs heures assise sur un ordinateur, les épaules, le haut et le bas du dos seront les endroits les plus visés pour un bon massage, car c’est là que se concentrent les tensions. Par contre, les jambes et le bas du dos mériteront plus d’attention pour une personne qui passe beaucoup de temps debout.
Quelles sont les qualités d’un bon masseur ?
Il doit être à l’écoute du corps de la cliente. Avoir une sensibilité au niveau des mains pour bien analyser le corps de la personne. Dans mon cas j’ai l’aide du Saint-Esprit de Dieu.
Qui peut devenir masseur ?
Le massage est d’abord une affaire de toucher, et celui qui aime le toucher peut devenir un bon masseur. Si on n’aime pas toucher les gens, surtout des étrangers, il serait conseillé de ne pas suivre des cours de massage.
Peut-on dire qu’une bonne santé passe aussi par le massage ?
Absolument, le stress aujourd’hui fait beaucoup de ravages au niveau de la santé. De prendre au moins une heure de massage par mois, élimine les toxines engendrées par le stress de tous les jours. Aussi notre esprit en sera fortifié.
Quels conseils pouvez-vous donner à ceux qui veulent se masser ?
Il est important de bien choisir la personne qui vous masse, surtout si vous êtes chrétien. Lors du massage notre esprit est ouvert, et il est impératif de choisir quelqu’un qui a une vie avec Christ, pour éviter les transmissions d’esprits négatifs qui nous affaiblissent en tant que chrétiens.
