CEDRIC MPINDY – La culture demeure ce véritable garde-fou
Cédric Mpindy est un passionné de culture. Pour ce qui est de sa profession, il exerce un emploi réservé sur lequel, il doute que cette interview soit le lieu idoine pour en parler, sans que cela ne suscite moult questions.
Cependant, il a fait une série littéraire, puis des études juridiques. Nous l’avons rencontré dans La Ballade des Idées –BDI- et il s’est prêté à nos questions avec plaisir.
Y a-t-il un lien entre votre profession et la BDI ?
Il n’y a aucun lien entre ma profession et la BDI, si ce n’est une appétence marquée pour la culture et le fait d’avoir fait une série littéraire au lycée Drapeau Rouge au Congo Brazzaville.
Comment et quand est née l’idée de lancer la BDI ?
La BDI est née en 2015. Ce nom figurait sur mon premier manuscrit. À la lecture de ce manuscrit le Doyen Pierre Ntsemou m’a suggéré un autre titre. Toutefois, j’ai conservé ce titre pour en faire le vecteur d’une tribune culturelle, connue aujourd’hui sous le label de La Ballade des Idées.
Je dois signaler que le Doyen Pierre Ntsemou est pour moi, un grand frère. Il a également été mon professeur de français en classe de terminal A4 au lycée Drapeau Rouge de Brazzaville.
Aviez-vous des collaborateurs au départ ?
Des collaborateurs, j’en ai un grand nombre. En commençant par tous ceux qui participent aux publications et les font vivre par l’échange et leurs nombreuses contributions qui permettent un enrichissement mutuel des uns et des autres. Au début c’était un comité réduit, puis le cercle s’est enrichi de nombreux maillons de différents pays.
Qui peut parler à la BDI ? De quoi peut-on parler ?
Tous ceux qui sont passionnés de culture sans exception. À partir du moment où un concept ou une culture fédère, elle relève de l’universel.
À la BDI, tous les sujets sont abordés sans restriction, puisque cela est fait dans un esprit très convivial et bien courtois. Et les échanges, le sont tout autant, sinon très fraternels, avec un soupçon d’humour parfois très caustique. Et je pense que c’est le préambule de la BDI, une sorte de profession de foi culturelle, qui explique le mieux, ce qu’est la BDI.
Les textes de la BDI et les illustrations sont tellement arrimés ensemble que l’on se demande comment s’opère le choix des textes et des images?
Je dois dire que c’est juste la magie de La Ballade des Idées. Je dispose d’une base de données, qui contient près de six cents toiles, si ce n’est plus. Et donc quand je reçois un texte, dans un premier temps, j’en prends connaissance. Et ensuite, en fonction du thème central évoqué, je recherche dans ma base d’images, la toile qui correspond le mieux au sujet traité.
Les peintres sont des personnages du sérail de votre intimité?
Sur la peinture, il faut dire que j’ai toujours été fasciné par les toiles de Maître. La première devant laquelle, je suis tombé en pâmoison est celle de Caspar David Friedrich « Le Voyageur contemplant une mer de nuages ». C’est d’ailleurs cette toile qui illustre ma page Facebook.
Avec le temps et au fil des échanges, une grande amitié s’est nouée avec certains peintres. J’ai initié l’idée d’agrémenter les publications de La Ballade des Idées avec les toiles des peintres africains qui ont un immense talent, mais qui ne vivent pas toujours de leur art, dans l’objectif de les faire connaître et promouvoir ainsi leurs œuvres.
Les réseaux sociaux offrent, une belle vitrine publicitaire gratuite, qu’il faut utiliser pour la bonne cause.
En parlant de ce lien que j’entretiens et cultive avec les peintres et leurs œuvres, la toile servant d’illustration à cette interview est mon portrait réalisé par Benmama Ngoucheme, un peintre camerounais extrêmement talentueux.
Aujourd’hui après des vacances bien méritées, vous nous revenez avec « Les Mendiants de la république Mendiante ».
Mdrrr! « Les Mendiants de la république Mendiante », reste une fiction puisqu’elle se déroule dans une République imaginaire qui est le « Pays de Tous les Possibles ». Certains y voient des similitudes avec le quotidien de certains pays africains, je dois pourtant dire que l’intention n’était pas d’indexer un pays quelconque, mais de pointer du doigt une certaine réalité qui interpelle et interroge. Et qui de manière incidente est observée dans un certain nombre de pays des Tropiques. Et les nombreux commentaires sous ce texte sont un vibrant témoignage de ce que cette fiction chevauche une triste réalité sociale. En effet, comment comprendre que des personnes, qui ont tant donné à leur pays, et cotisé pendant des années, se retrouvent au soir de leur retraite, sur le boulevard de l’exclusion sociale et à limite réduites à la mendicité ? La question reste ouverte.
Pourquoi parmi vos textes, aviez-vous choisi ce texte-feuilleton, car le lecteur est à la deuxième partie, n’est-ce pas?
Il n’y a pas eu de choix concernant ce texte qui est long de 22 pages. Je venais de l’écrire la veille de la rentrée de la BDI qui tombait un samedi. J’ai donc pris un petit extrait en guise de ballon d’essai pour voir si le texte accroche. Oui le lecteur est à la deuxième partie, car je l’entraîne dans un jeu subtil, dans lequel il est pris à témoin, pour susciter son indignation. Et cette indignation vise à le conduire à une prise en compte du sujet abordé, pour qu’il se l’approprie et devienne un acteur de premier plan dans les réponses à apporter.
Comment te vient l’idée des vidéos proposées au lecteur?
Généralement, la vidéo vient soit clore une série ou marquer un événement précis, la rentrée, les vœux ou tel que cela a été le cas avec le drame de Chacona.
Un dernier mot ?
« Muito Obrigado », une expression très utilisée à la BDI et qui vient du portugais, pour dire « Merci beaucoup », de faire une place à la BDI avec cette interview dans votre blogue.
