Ghislain Larocque est auteur, conférencier et acteur de métier. Il a étudié dans le domaine du travail social et dans la médecine naturelle. Il est maître reikie. C’est en 2013 qu’il a vraiment découvert sa mission de vie et d’aide aux gens. Il est devenu spécialiste dans l’organisation des salons de livre indépendants, sans oublier le temps de prendre soin de sa famille.
Comment vous est venue l’idée de promouvoir les auteurs indépendants?
Je suis auteur de deux livres L’art de s’accepter et L’intimidation ça fait mal! Deux nouveau livres verront le jour en 2019 donc un livre pour enfants Martin le Mammouth et un livre adultes/ados L’intimidation une prison à vie. L’idée du salon est venue il y a trois ans lors du lancement de mon premier livre car j’ai remarqué comment il était difficile de se faire connaître dans ce milieu et après avoir jasé avec d’autre auteurs j’ai remarqué que j’étais pas le seul à penser que les auteurs indépendants étaient discriminés comparés aux auteurs connus. C’est là qu’est venue l’idée de créer un salon pour promouvoir les auteurs indépendants.
Le dernier salon organisé a eu lieu le 29 septembre 2018 à l’établissement de L’Ile, quelles sont les joies que vous tirez de cette rencontre ?
Le rassemblement d’auteurs passionnés de lecture qui veulent partager avec le public leur passion est ma joie. Ils trouvent une alternative à leur problème de promouvoir leurs livres. Tous les écrivains qui le désirent peuvent participer à cet évènement. Nous mettons beaucoup d’emphase sur les jeunes car ils sont la relève de demain.
Les peintres ont-ils une place dans cet événement ?
Effectivement, nous voulons inviter les artistes peintres à participer car comme les auteurs, ils partagent des histoires sur leurs toiles. Ils méritent leur place parmi nous. Nous voulons aussi ajouter plus d’activités reliées à l’écriture.
Qui sont vos partenaires dans cette organisation ?
Chaque année de nouveaux partenaires viennent nous rejoindre. Cela change au fil des temps. Les productions Manucam sont venues cette année afin de remercier les auteurs en leur offrant une entrevue vidéo professionnelle à partager sur le web.
Maintenant vous préparez le salon de Montréal et celui de Shawinigan ?
Les salons de Montréal et Shawinigan sont organisés par d’autres auteurs bénévoles qui ont à coeur l’entraide. Donc il me fait plaisir de les rejoindre et travailler en collaboration avec eux. Encore une fois, dans ces salons tous les auteurs indépendants peuvent participer en tant qu’exposants. Les salons sont ouverts à tous et le public est invité à rencontrer les auteurs.
Comment arrivez-vous à gérer votre temps entre votre métier d’écrivain et celui d’acteur?
Nombreuses sont les personnes qui me posent cette question. J’ai un agenda corsé mais on parvient à ajouter des activités familiales. La famille participe beaucoup. Par exemple au cinéma mes deux plus jeunes filles sont aussi figurantes et actrices, on partage une passion père-fille. Les salons nous font voyager et connaître d’autres endroits merveilleux. On revient tout juste du Nouveau Brunswick où j’ai participé à un salon de livre francophone. Et on a aussi profité pour visiter des endroits touristiques et surtout rencontrer des gens accueillants qui nous ont fait découvrir l’endroit et partager avec nous leurs histoires.

Lorsque nous sommes passionnés c’est que nous sommes sur la bonne direction de notre mission sur terre. Moi, j’ai découvert la mienne en 2013 qui est celle d’aider les gens à rebâtir leur estime de soi et à s’accepter tels qu’ils sont. Et surtout de sensibiliser nos jeunes sur les désavantages de l’intimidation sur notre estime de soi.
L’intimidation, une douleur continue ?
L’intimidation est toujours au même pourcentage depuis longtemps. Mais la façon de faire a évolué et fait encore plus mal et détruit plus de vie. Plus de 723 suicides par année de nos jeunes sont causés par l’intimidation. C’est l’équivalent d’une école par année qui disparaît ainsi malheureusement.
