MARCELLINE FILA MATSOCOTA – On doit aimer tout le monde et pas seulement sa tribu
Marcelline Fila Matsocota naît au Congo Brazzaville en septembre 1936 de parents africains de la tribu Lari. Après l’école primaire du quartier, à Bacongo Brazzaville, elle est envoyée à Dakar au Sénégal pour étudier chez les religieuses de Saint-Joseph de Cluny. Elle continue ensuite ses études en France, à Angers puis à Lille, et obtient son BAC. Ce « César » en poche, elle descend à Paris à la Sorbonne où elle fait des études de traduction Français-Anglais. Interprète, traductrice, elle enseigne l’anglais au Collège Mafoua Virgile de Brazzaville et plus tard au Lycée Savorgnan de Brazza. L’interprétariat lui ouvre la route des voyages aux côtés des officiels gouvernementaux et des organisations des femmes, en l’occurrence l’Union révolutionnaire des femmes du Congo (URFC). Retraitée, heureuse grand-mère, elle vit en France et décide alors d’écrire sur sa vie, de publier des romans et des contes pour le bonheur des grands et des petits du monde entier.
Quand elle parle de ses souvenirs dans la fonction publique congolaise, elle nous dit sans fard que : « Les plus belles époques de ma vie de fonctionnaire au Congo sont celles où je travaillais à la commission nationale du Congo pour l’UNESCO. » Mariée à Lazare Matsocota, Procureur de la République du Congo Brazzaville, dans les années 60, Marcelline Fila Matsocota perd tragiquement son mari et de cette douleur infinie sortira une autobiographie : «Ma vie avec Lin Lazare Matsocota», publié aux Éditions L’Harmattan de Paris, en 2003. Le Professeur Makouta Mboukou en assume la préface.
Marcelline Fila Matsocota répond ainsi au devoir de mémoire afin d’éclairer le peuple Congolais sur cet assassinat inqualifiable. « On ne décide pas d’écrire. Mais lorsque l’on a des impulsions on les exprime malgré soi. » dit-elle et son livre nous donne un témoignage poignant de sa vie d’épouse et de mère éplorée.
Après l’autobiographie, elle se lance dans le roman et publie chez Publibook, en 2015 : 
«De l’aberration, du tribalisme, régionalisme et autres ismes», un livre « ras le bol » pour dénoncer les injustices sociales : « J’ai écrit ce livre parce que j’ai observé l’attitude des compatriotes qui n’accordaient des postes de traducteurs qu’aux personnes de leurs tribus et pas selon leurs compétences. C’est une dénonciation. Le tribalisme est l’amour de sa tribu; c’est une erreur car on doit aimer tout le monde et pas seulement sa tribu, tout comme on aime sa région ainsi que les autres régions de son pays. »
Au fil des ans suit un conte «Nkengue la capricieuse», illustré et publié chez Diantantu Editions, un conte fantastique qui renferme toute la sagesse des Anciens d’Afrique. Une jeune fille attend l’homme de ses rêves et refuse toutes les demandes en mariage des jeunes gens de son village. Un beau jour, elle présente à ses parents l’homme que son coeur aime. Vivront-ils heureux? Seront-ils parents de nombreux enfants?
Dans le conte «Le mariage de la fille du roi lion», illustré de manière superbe par Al Mata, Marcelline Fila Matsocota nous entraîne dans un autre monde. Elle nous fait découvrir l’univers des rois, en l’occurrence celui du Roi Lion. En effet, ce roi a du mal à laisser partir sa fille et pour retarder ce moment où la fille doit quitter ses parents pour bâtir une famille, le roi multiplie les obstacles pour décourager les nombreux prétendants qui veulent épouser sa fille.
Le temps passe et Marcelline Fila Matsocota ne pense plus à écrire d’autres livres, nostalgique, elle répète : « On ne décide pas d’écrire. Mais lorsque l’on a des impulsions on les exprime malgré soi. » de peur de voir sa mémoire oublier les essentiels de la vie.
