MARIUSCA MOUKENGUE – Je slame, donc je suis
Mariusca Moukengue est une artiste slameuse, animatrice d’ateliers slam et auteure parolière congolaise. Elle est en master 2 de droit de l’université Marien Ngouabi. Elle a été une enfant timide et réservée, très pensive et bien rêveuse jusqu’au jour où le slam est entré dans sa vie.
Comment le slam est-il venu à vous ?
Je suis entrée dans l’art par effraction quand la douleur était au zénith de ma vie. J’y suis donc restée d’abord pour la thérapie, ensuite parce que l’art devenait mon état esprit enfin parce que j’en suis devenue ivre quand le slam m’a ouvert ses bras. Ainsi, j’ai débuté en tant que comédienne en 2008 au sein de mon lycée. Puis en 2011 au sein de la Compagnie Nsala où j’ai été formée professionnellement en tant que comédienne par Harvey Massamba. L’appel du slam a été si fort à tel point que je me suis laissée envahir par la liberté de la parole poétique. Formée par le slameur Prodige Heiveil, le slam a fait de mon cœur en lambeaux une voix qui sublime le chant de mes possibles. Je slame pour me contraindre d’être libre de rêver, être heureue, à voir en chaque évènement de la vie un prétexte pour être en harmonie avec soi-même et les autres. Je slame pour partager mes bribes d’espoirs et de bonheurs autour de moi. A présent, je slame, donc je suis !
Pourquoi le slam et pas un autre genre de musique : un impact particulier d’une rencontre inoubliable ?
Je suis influencée par toute parole qui chante l’humain. L’humain avant tout. A cette ère du métissage et des chocs des cultures, je suis influencée par ceux qui sèment l’amour du prochain, le partage. Car à mon humble avis, pour construire ce village planétaire dans lequel chaque humain a sa place, c’est ce que nous sommes qui importe, et non ce que nous avons.
De quoi parlez-vous dans vos textes ?
Mes textes slam sont un cocktail de réappropriation de l’identité africaine dans un élan de projection fraternelle vers le monde. Je slame aussi l’amour, ce sentiment si universel et énigmatique à la fois. Je slame pour la solidarité, je questionne la société capitaliste dans sa manie de définir l’humain par rapport à sa possession matérielle… Bref, je slame mon quotidien, mes folies, mes phobies, mes angoisses mais surtout mes espoirs.
Slameuse et étudiante : Qui est-ce qui vous prend le plus ?
Faire des études dans une discipline n’empêche pas de vivre d’une autre passion. Nous sommes à l’ère des possibles et il est important de garder l’esprit ouvert sur soi et au monde. Cela ne me dérange aucunement que ma casquette de slameuse prône sur celle de juriste quoi qu’encore en formation. Ce qui compte c’est pourvoir être heureuse dans ce qu’on fait.
Grâce à votre talent, vous voyagez à travers le monde : quels sont les bénéfices que vous en tirez ?
Rencontrer les autres me permet de me construire et grandir, d’apporter aussi ma pierre à l’édifice. On est fait des bribes de ce que l’on entend, l’on voit des autres. Ces quelques voyages faits jusque-là m’ont emmené à comprendre que nous sommes tous des ondes qui se projettent, mais la différence c’est ce que nous pensons. La pensée qui fait notre histoire, notre bagage émotionnel et autre, c’est ce qui fait cette diversité qui nous rend identique. En vrai, les voyages m’ont permis de rectifier et découvrir ce que l’école a parfois omis de m’apprendre.
Quelle est votre définition de l’art ?
L’art est cette graine qui fait germer des forêts, cette étoile filante qui suscite admiration et fascination. L’art est un tout et s’il faut d’un tout pour faire la vie, l’art est la vie. L’art, le SLAM est un art qui rassemble les cœurs autours du feu sacré qu’est la vie pour que la parole demeure ce vent libre qui propage la paix et l’égalité entre les humains.
Quand vous sentez-vous inspirée ?
Tout peut m’inspirer, un geste, un acte, un soupir, un sourire, une grosse larme, un chuchotement, une épine dans la gorge, une arête dans le nombril. Je reste assez à l’écoute de ce qui peut emmener ma plume à colorer mes feuilles d’encre indélébiles, à l’aube, au zénith ou au crépuscule. Quoi que je l’avoue, mes envolées sont plus intenses quand la ville dort.
Outre le chant, vous avez aussi un faible pour le théâtre : Comment partagez-vous votre temps ?
Entre théâtre, droit et slam, je confesse que ce n’est pas toujours évident. Parfois je me dois de mettre une passion en pause au profit de l’autre, parfois je les invite sur une même scène comme dans la pièce de théâtre : L’envers d’un silence, écrite en 2017. Ce n’est pas facile la polyandrie artistique. Il faut avoir le sens de l’organisation et être assez sévère avec soi-même. Mais je ne me plaindrai jamais de ce choix, parce que c’est l’assemblage de tous ces langages qui font l’édifice humain que je souhaite devenir.
Qu’est-ce qui vous marque dans le théâtre ?
Chaque auteur a sa sensibilité, son expérience, sa plume. Les pièces de théâtre teintées de poésie de Sony Labou me parlent et m’interpellent. Cela ne m’empêche pas d’être attirée par les mots d’Emmanuel Dongala, par les convictions de Gabriel Mouéné Okoundji ou par l’audace de Marie-Léontine Tsibinda. Je reste ouverte à la connaissance pour espérer mourir moins bête!
Quels sont les personnages que vous interprétez au théâtre ?
Le rapport avec mes personnages sont ceux d’un homme et d’une femme. Parfois, je prends le contrôle, parfois je me laisse guider. Il arrive que j’envie un personnage, mais aussi que je lui prête une partie de moi. En vrai, mes personnages sont soit ce que je ne suis pas, soit mon reflet, soit simplement l’imaginaire ou un vécu extérieur que je veux immortaliser.
Et Ajax ?
Du classique qui devient contemporain et inversement c’est aussi ça la vie. Ajax se vit encore dans nos sociétés : les guerres fratricides, l’implication du divin dans le cours de l’histoire, et j’en passe. Ajax de Sophocle était la première pièce de théâtre que j’ai jouée en tant que professionnelle au Festival Mantsina sur Scène et à Etonnant Voyageur. Cette expérience m’a fait voir, ô combien les œuvres de l’esprit peuvent être intemporelles.
Qu’est-ce que la Compagnie Nsala a apporté à votre soif de l’art ?
La Compagnie Nsala m’a appris mes premiers pas dans le théâtre professionnel. Cette formation reçue du comédien metteur en scène Harvey Massamba m’a plus que donné les clés qu’un artiste doit avoir. Clés que j’utilise même dans le slam. Du jeu d’acteur, la présence scénique à l’interprétation d’un personnage et j’en passe la Compagnie Nsala m’a véritablement appris à marcher en tant que comédienne. Il est donc naturel que je porte toujours cette compagnie dans mon cœur.
Mais vous aviez aussi publié vos propres pièces de théâtre : De quoi parlent-elles ?
Écrire des pièces de théâtre s’est plus présenté à moi comme un besoin de faire dire des choses. Faire parler des personnages pour mettre une distance entre moi la personne et moi génitrice de ces personnages. Ce qui n’est pas le cas dans le slam, car dans le slam très souvent je me slame en espérant enflammer mon prochain. Pour en revenir donc aux pièces de théâtre, je dirai que j’écris ces pièces par désir de m’exprimer autrement, en faisant dire des paroles.
Aimeriez-vous revivre votre expérience de critique d’art ?
La critique d’art, au début une exploration. La curiosité m’a emmené à côtoyer cet univers à travers la Rencontre Internationale d’Arts Contemporain aux Ateliers Sahm en 2016-2017. Ensuite par envie de châtier ma plume, je suis passée de la curiosité à un attachement. Madame Alexia Clorinda et Monsieur Dakara m’ont formé pendant la RIAC et en 2018 j’ai pu être sélectionné à Lubumbashi au centre Waza pour une formation en écriture critique. Cette formation à Waza m’a permis de bénéficier du prix Contemporary And Mentoring et d’une bourse en 2018. En septembre de la même année j’obtiens un autre prix et une bourse qui me permet de faire trois mois de résidence en Suisse à travers le prix Gaestatelier Krone Aarau décerné par Les Ateliers Sahm. Sans que cela ne soit une séduction, la critique d’art m’a permet aussi d’aiguiser mon esprit critique sur mes propres œuvres. Je m’auto censurais assez jusqu’à ce que je me rende compte que la seule contrainte dans l’art, c’est de rester libre et qu’à force de m’auto censurer je risquais de perdre une certaine magie dans mes slams. Alors, à présent j’écris des textes critiques pour les œuvres des autres.
A l’université, vous aviez participé aux rencontres du Cercle Culturel de Bayardelle : Quels souvenirs gardez-vous de ces rencontres ?
Le cercle Culturel de Bayardelle était mis en place par les artistes étudiants de Bayardelle. J’ai intégré ce cercle à travers un ami artiste Ferlain Badinga, dans le but d’en apprendre un peu plus sur les arts de la scène en 2011. Ce fut donc un réel plaisir pour moi d’apprendre aux côtés de mes confrères et consœurs avec qui nous avons continué cette aventure artistique hors de l’université. Mon plus beau souvenir dans ce cercle culturel est la pièce de théâtre : Ajax de Sophocle que nous avons joué à l’entrée même de la fac. Ce souvenir m’est cher au regard des risques que nous avions pris par soif d’expression.
Que dire de la Croix Rouge ?
La Croix Rouge est venue vers la Compagnie Nsala, compagnie dont j’étais membre pour réaliser des pièces de théâtre de sensibilisation contre les maladies liées à l’hygiène. Nous sommes donc allez de localité en localité du Congo pour sensibiliser à travers le théâtre avec toute l’équipe de la Compagnie Nsala.
Les Ateliers Sahm n’ont plus de secret pour vous : Combien de temps y aviez-vous séjourné ?
Les Ateliers Sahm sont une famille d’artiste qui regorge plein de talents. J’ai commencé à fréquenter ce centre d’Art en Fin 2016. La convivialité, la fraternité et l’esprit de solidarité sont les valeurs qui m’ont beaucoup marqué. C’est dans ce centre que j’ai fait mes premiers pas dans la critique d’art et y est travaillé entant qu’assistante administrative et membre du comité de rédaction de la newsletter du centre.
Quelles sont vos relations avec les milieux défavorisés : qu’ont-ils retenu de votre collaboration ?
La réflexion serait, pourquoi parle-t-on de milieu défavorisé, alors que tout homme a le droit de vivre décemment. Pourquoi parle-t-on encore de faim dans le monde alors qu’il y a des cités dans lesquelles le gaspillage alimentaire ne dérange plus personne. Pourquoi doit-on continuer d’amasser de l’argent pendant qu’il y’a dans le monde des gens qui meurent chaque jour par manque de paracétamol ? Non, ce n’est pas l’argent ou la richesse pour tous qui manque dans ce monde, c’est le partage. Le nombrilisme devient tellement accru que je me demande parfois où est passé la valeur humaine.
Slamunite, un mot nouveau ?
Pour le moment nous travaillons sur le projet SLAMUNITE qui a débuté depuis 2018. Ce projet d’initiation au slam vise à permettre aux jeunes ayant subi des injustices et des violences de toute forme de s’exprimer et d’utiliser le slam comme thérapie.
Un souvenir qui vous marque encore jusqu’à ce jour ?
L’un des rares souvenirs que j’ai de mon enfance qui a marqué je pense mes choix, c’est au sortir de la guerre. En voyant ma mère triste, je lui ai demandé : « Maman pourquoi les gens s’entretuent lorsqu’on finira tous par mourir ? » Ma mère m’a répondu en disant : « Vis pour apporter ta part de bonheur dans la vie ma fille »
Aux dernières minutes, vous venez de gagner le Prix SEBAS ?
Le Prix Sebas est un prix qui encourage le congolais qui pose des actions de solidarité à l’égard de ses compatriotes. Et recevoir ce prix pour moi est un honneur, un bonheur mais aussi une lourde charge. Ça fait toujours plaisir de voir que mon petit caillou que je rêve apporter à l’édifice est apprécié. Avoir des prix, c’est très bien mais le travail reste encore à faire. On a encore des voix à faire entendre, des cris à faire raisonner. Je dédie ce prix aux enfants délaissés et à ces filles qui ont subi des violences de toutes sortes. Je remercie le comité d’organisation de ce prix pour avoir porté un regard sur notre travail. Ma prière est que ce prix mette plus de lumière sur la situation de ces enfants abonnés à l’indifférence sociale.
