Chrysogone Diangouaya est artiste, danseur, chorégraphe, comédien. Il est metteur en scène. Il conte et écrit. Il communique sa joie de danser en donnant des leçons à ceux que la danse intéresse. Il aime aussi illustrer ses propres livres mais ne boude pas les illustrations d’autres artistes quand c’est nécessaire.
Comment vous est venue l’idée d’embrasser cette profession de danseur ?
Je dois avouer qu’en tant que danseur, j’ai commencé cette profession par un simple hasard la danse étant ma passion, puis il y a eu une succession des activités qui m’ont permis d’aller à la découverte des autres espaces artistiques.
Continuez-vous à l’exercer jusqu’à ce jour : quelles sont les joies rencontrées et les améliorations que vous aimeriez vivre ?
Je continue à exercer ces professions, cela est devenu une suite logique dans ma démarche de vie. Les joies rencontrées sont celles de (se) surprendre à chaque fois que j’exerce, enfin de compte, je confirme que j’apprends de l’apprenant, que je suis pédagogue, j’apprends des enfants quand je leur raconte des histoires ancestrales, je partage mes visions, mes émotions, avec les spectateurs quand je suis sur scène. Je suis un éternel apprenti.
Mais le monde de la création artistique vous intéresse : quand aviez-vous ressenti cet intérêt ?
Le monde de la création artistique m’intéresse quand j’avais compris que ma passion pouvait être une profession et que cela pouvait confirmer mes capacités de créer, de communiquer, de communier, d’unir à travers mon art.
Les influences des rencontres vous ont donc marqué et à votre tour vous aviez senti ce besoin de créer ?
Du Congo à l’étranger, j’ai travaillé avec plusieurs personnes qui m’ont influencé sur plusieurs domaines. A la danse Thierry Mouelet, Germaine Acogny, Suzanne Linke, Anne-Marie Reynaud, au théâtre Massengo Ma Mbongolo, Victor Louya, Emmanuel Ndongala, Richard Demarcy, Frédéric Ferrer, dans la musique contemporaine je peux citer Beniat Achiary, dans le domaine de la transmission (musique traditionnelle du Congo) on peut citer Jean Loulendo, sinon j’ai collaboré dans plusieurs domaines comme le cinéma, les conférences, les performances.
Que représente le conte pour vous et que racontez-vous donc dans vos histoires ?
Le conte représente la vie, car l’homme a depuis toujours raconté bien qu’il l’oublie. Mais la parole est en lui et il ne cesse de raconter (de parler pour dire et surtout raconter la vie). Dans mes contes je ne fais que raconter la vie, bien que j’utilise parfois des métaphores cela me permet d’avoir une certaine liberté par rapport au public que j’ai devant moi. La moralité est très importante dans les contes que je dis car cela est un moyen d’éducation chez les Kongo autour du Mbongui.
Les illustrations sont-elles de vous ou travaillez-vous avec un coéquipier ?
Il m’arrive de faire mes propres illustrations sinon je sollicite certains illustrateurs avec qui je travaille pour mes livres.
Quel est le conte qui vous donne le plus de satisfaction ?
« Le cri de la girafe » est le deuxième livre qui accompagne le spectacle qui porte le même nom et cela fait plus de 500 représentations effectuées depuis sa création, avec mon collaborateur nous sommes à plus de 300 représentations et le spectacle continue de tourner à ce jour.
Outre les présentations sur scène, vous prêtez-vous au jeu des ateliers pour expliquer votre création et partager vos expériences ? Que dit celui qui participe aux ateliers ?
J’ai depuis toujours été ouvert par rapport à mes représentations : je propose toujours des ateliers à l’issue des rencontres. Sinon il m’arrive d’être sollicité pour des ateliers de danse (danse traditionnelle, afro-contemporaine, danse-théâtre, danse animalière), théâtre, et percussion / présentation des instruments traditionnels d’Afrique en particulier du Congo dont je suis originaire (j’ai effectué ce travail pendant trois ans à la cité de la musique à Paris).
Comment vous préparez-vous pour produire un spectacle ou un atelier?
Je n’ai pas une seule méthode, cela dépend du public à recevoir. Souvent mes orientations pédagogiques sont occasionnées par le public sachant que j’accompagne et je fais découvrir mon art. Par ailleurs, mes interventions permettent aux participants de faire une certaine évaluation mutuelle. Les participants sont toujours satisfaits et cela m’emmène à fortifier ma pédagogie. 
Le monde actuel est en perpétuel bouleversement : le racisme, la pandémie et les violences sont presque «choses banales» comment en tant qu’artiste vivez-vous ces événements ?
La pandémie a bouleversé mon planning général, bien que certains projets aient été reportés, mais cela ne garantit pas la faisabilité de ces projets puisque rien ne semble confirmer la fin de la pandémie. La tournée concernant « Le cri de la girafe » dans les instituts français en Afrique a été reportée pour le mois de février 2021. Actuellement je suis en train de travailler sur l’adaptation de « Ma soeur étoile » d’Alain Mambanckou, une création prévue pour septembre 2020 mais reportée pour la fin de l’année 2020 voir 2021.
La préparation des tournées est longuement mûrie pour certains spectacles ?
Dans mon cas, cette situation est devenue une habitude, le planning de la tournée se prépare une année à l’avance voire deux années. Sur le plan national les choses sont moins compliquées, si nous nous déplaçons pour plusieurs dates dans une ville, le technicien nous précède un à deux jours pour le montage du décor et l’éclairage. Notre arrivée est souvent prévue la veille, pour une répétition et la mise en espace avant les représentations. Pour les tournées internationales, notre chargé de diffusion a un grand travail d’administratif en contactant les structures d’accueil, les compagnies aériennes car les décors et le matériel devraient voyager en toute sécurité, les hôtels sont réservés à l’avance. Pour éviter des surprises nous exigeons l’arrivée un jour minimum avant le jour des représentations. Toutes les structures d’accueil n’ont pas le matériel alors nous sommes obligés de nous adapter et pour cela le théâtre ou la structure d’accueil doit faire parvenir leur fiche technique afin que nous puissions préparer une adaptation en fonction de ce qu’ils disposent. Il y a tellement de travail ! Nous nous arrangeons à regrouper les dates et proposer des ateliers à l’issue des représentations cela nous permet de rentabiliser dans le temps et gagner artistiquement.
Vos contes sont-ils publiés pour le plaisir du lecteur ?
Absolument, mes contes sont pour le plaisir du lecteur, l’idée d’écrire m’a été proposée par les enfants au cours des représentations, cela m’emmène à compléter un dossier pédagogique à la fin de quelques ouvrages.
Des projets ?
« Tina-Tina » création tout public d’après un livre de conte Singur le prisonnier libre de danser qui devrait au mois d’avril dernier mais sortira au mois de novembre 2020. Le spectacle (danse-théâtre, dessin animé et vidéo) continuera sa diffusion en 2021. « Ma soeur étoile et moi » création théâtre, musique, marionnettes et ombres chinoises diffusion novembre 2020. / « Le vol de Boli » comédie musicale produit par le théâtre de Châtelet en septembre 2020 (dans cette création je suis danseur comédien) / « Le voyage à la recherche du lien » projet des ateliers artistiques avec les artistes du Tchad: nous bénéficions du soutien de l’institut français de Ndjamena à partir du mois d’octobre 2020.
Un dernier mot ?
J’ai choisi le métier de danseur ou l’art de la danse comme métier pour prendre ma liberté, pas pour être prisonnier des beaux mouvements. Un mouvement a depuis toujours existé, que peut-on rajouter de plus si ce n’est créer une expression pour exprimer ces émotions ou autres choses. Cet art m’apprend à toujours penser à moi, à mon instrument corps et aimer mon être car c’est à travers lui que je tiens mon existence. Personne ne peut oublier qu’on reconnaît l’homme par son corps, ce corps physique qui renferme des tas d’autres choses de son intérieur vers son extérieur.
