WILLY MOUELE – Un artiste heureux et comblé ne crée plus !

Willy Mouele est son vrai nom. Mais il est bien plus connu sous le pseudonyme de Willy Zekid.

Il a commencé avec des études de droit, puis il a rapidement changé pour faire les Sciences et techniques de communication, option journalisme.
Ensuite, il a travaillé comme illustrateur au journal Ngouvou de Brazzaville dirigé par Ferdinand Kibinza. Et, c’est au sein de ce journal qu’il a appris les bases du métier de maquettiste (infographiste).
Puis, il
a cumulé les formations dans ce domaine pour rester chaque fois à la pointe de la technologie dans le domaine de la communication.
Il s’intéresse de très près à la communication et à tous ses modes d’expressions. Willy Mouele veut parler de communication verbale ou non verbale.

Le dessin, en parlant du graphisme, ou de l’infographie, est un métier en perpétuelle évolution. Aujourd’hui, son travail est très axé sur le développement de la communication digitale sans oublier la production des dessins animés.  

Qui est-ce qui vous a poussé à faire carrière dans le monde de l’illustration ?

Je dessine depuis que je suis tout petit. J’ai su dessiner avant de savoir parler. Et, j’ai toujours su que je m’orienterai vers un métier alliant graphisme et communication.
Mais, s’il y a une personne ou plutôt, des personnes à citer comme étant l’élément déclencheur de ma carrière, je pense que ce serait le groupe des Tambours de Brazza avec à l’époque Christiane Migambanou, Saintrick et Luc Mayitoukou qui m’avaient demandé alors que je n’étais encore qu’un simple élève passionné de BD, de réaliser pour eux la genèse du groupe, en bande dessinée.
Je me souviens l’avoir faite en 3 pages qu’ils ont proposées à Nadette Richard, à l’époque rédactrice en Chef du Journal Ngouvou, à Brazzaville.
Mes planches ont plu à toute l’équipe du journal. Ceux-ci m’ont recontacté pour devenir membre de la rédaction. Et, c’est ainsi que j’ai fait mes premiers pas dans le monde de la presse.
Par la suite, j’ai collaboré avec plusieurs journaux en tant qu’illustrateur ou caricaturiste de presse, avant de m’orienter plus vers les métiers du numérique (Web et audiovisuel)

L’illustration un métier d’avenir ?

Non, je ne crois pas. Bien au contraire !
L’illustration est un métier très ancien. En revanche, l’utilisation du dessin, donc du graphisme dans le domaine de la communication se développe de plus en plus.
Aujourd’hui, je pense que le dessinateur va évoluer vers d’autres modes d’expressions. Par exemple, dans la communication digitale, l’animation, le web ou le cinéma.
C’est ce que j’ai fait, pour ma part.

Allez-vous vers les écrivains pour proposer vos services ou bien les contacts se font par personnes interposées ou les personnes ont vu vos œuvres sur la toile et vous contactent pour demander des illustrations?

Non, pas du tout ! La plupart des gens qui me sollicitent connaissent mon travail. Il va très loin au-delà du simple dessin. J’ai réalisé des habillages télé pour des chaînes nationales, des sites web, des clips, etc. en plus d’illustrations classiques.

Comment se passe la collaboration quand vous acceptez d’illustrer leurs textes?
Il n’y a aucun schéma type, chaque demande étant spécifique.

Combien de temps cela vous prend-il pour illustrer un texte, une couverture de livre ?
Ici, tout dépend de l’inspiration. Un texte peut m’inspirer quelque chose dès la première lecture, tandis qu’un autre me demandera plus de réflexion.

Vous servez-vous de l’outil informatique pour tisser vos illustrations ?
Tout dépend de la technique que je souhaite pour réaliser mon œuvre.
Certaines illustrations sont très jolies lorsqu’elles sont faites à la main, et peintes à l’aquarelle par exemple. Tandis que d’autres sont plus intéressantes lorsqu’on les traite à l’ordinateur.
C’est la même chose pour les dessins animés que je fais.

De votre premier dessin à aujourd’hui, qui est-ce qui a changé votre vision du monde de l’illustration ?
C’est un domaine en perpétuelle évolution. Aujourd’hui, le crayon et le papier ne suffisent plus. Il faut s’adapter à la technologie qui avance chaque jour à grands pas. On dessine par Ordinateur, on fait de l’animation, des effets spéciaux, etc. Tout devient plus simple pour peu que l’on sache utiliser les nouveaux outils. Et, pour moi, graphisme et communication sont étroitement liés.

Comment se prépare une trame de bande dessinée ?
J’ai commencé depuis peu, à donner des ateliers sur ce sujet. Pendant longtemps, je travaillais seul dans mon coin. Mais, j’ai eu l’honneur récemment d’intégrer l’équipe de Cartooning For Peace. Cette association internationale qui regroupe des caricaturistes de presse est fondée par M. Plantu (caricatursite au journal Le Monde depuis plus de 40 ans) et M. Koffi Annan, alors  Secrétaire Général des Nations Unies.
Avec cette association, je partage mon expérience sur le dessin de presse, la BD à travers le monde. Tout commence par une idée : Une histoire. Ensuite, on en fait un découpage, exactement comme lorsqu’on fait une rédaction.
C’est-à-dire qu’on va chercher notre introduction, notre développement, puis notre conclusion en guise de fin.
Chaque partie de notre découpage comptera un certain nombre de pages.
Ensuite, on passe à la recherche des personnages. Puis, à celle des décors, et c’est déjà une bonne base pour commencer sa bande dessinée.

Y a-t-il des rencontres d’illustrateurs qui vous font aiguiser vos talents avec d’autres amoureux du dessin comme vous ?

Oui, bien sûr ! Certains artistes ont plus d’expérience dans tel ou tel domaine, ils peuvent utiliser des matériaux différents, de ceux que vous connaissez. Donc, c’est toujours intéressant. De plus, je pense que c’est par l’échange qu’on s’enrichit !

Oui. Il y en a plein. J’espère que nous pourrons en reparler une fois le moment venu.

Zekid, d’où vous vient ce surnom ?
D’une époque où les jeunes de Brazza se cherchaient des pseudonymes américains.
Nous étions trois amis. Il y avait L.S.D. « The King » (LSD étant ses initiales), il y avait Willy The Caïd, et Alfred The Market !
C’était l’époque des graffitis et j’écrivais Caîd avec un grand K.suivi de id en minuscule.
Du coup, mes amis lisaient The Kid, et c’est resté ainsi.
C’est M. Bernard Duffossé, le dessinateur de Kouakou et de Calao, qui m’a conseillé de l’écrire plutôt avec un Z.
Ce fut le premier contact « professionnel » que j’ai eu avec un auteur de BD. Lors d’un stage organisé par le journal Ngouvou à Brazzaville.

    Using historical data from telescopes that pick up infrared signatures, the research team looked at stars located within less than 1,000 light-years from Earth: “We started with a sample of 5 million stars, and we applied filters to try to get rid of as much data contamination as possible,” said lead study author Matias Suazo, a doctoral student in the department of physics and astronomy of Uppsala University in Sweden.

    “It’s difficult for us to find an explanation for these sources, because we don’t have enough data to prove what is the real cause of the infrared glow,” he said. “They could be Dyson spheres, because they behave like our models predict, but they could be something else as well.”

    Among the natural causes that could explain the infrared glow are an unlucky alignment in the observation, with a galaxy in the background overlapping with the star, planetary collisions creating debris, or the fact that the stars may be young and therefore still surrounded by disks of hot debris from which planets would later form.
    The data used by the researchers comes from two active space telescopes — the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer, or WISE, from NASA and Gaia from the European Space Agency — as well as an astronomical survey of the sky in infrared light called The Two Micron All Sky Survey. Also known as 2MASS, the collaboration between the University of Massachusetts and the US space agency’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory took place between 1997 and 2001.
