Le chef cuisinier congolais Christian, installé au Danemark, ajoute à la philosophie de vie « le hygge » et au plat national danois, le « Stegt flæsk « , recette du porc croustillant à la sauce au persil et aux pommes de terre, un service à la carte culinaire métissée.
Le pays hôte du Congolais résidant à Odense est connu, dans le référencement des mesures publiées par l’ONU, comme se situant, depuis plusieurs années, le premier en tête des pays les plus heureux du monde.
De son vrai nom Christian Olivier Kihoulou, le chef cuisinier est entré dans le monde des fourneaux grâce aux sages conseils de son frère et il lui en sait gré. Il se souvient que celui-ci, rentré de France, l’avait convaincu de suivre la formation nécessaire pour devenir cuisinier juste après l’obtention de son bac.

À 22 ans, il quitte le Congo avec, dans ses bagages : un CAP en cuisine, un DTC, diplôme de technicien de cuisine, diplômes obtenus à Sueco, l’école d’hôtellerie de Pointe-Noire, et une licence en management et tourisme. Son périple commence par le Maroc pour améliorer sa formation en cuisine. Par amour des langues étrangères, il opte pour la Suède où il continue son parcours culinaire. Il s’y installe et y travaille durant près de 3ans.
Ensuite, il se rend au Danemark, à Odense. En respect du protocole d’intégration dans les pays scandinaves, le Congolais se plie à la règlementation en vigueur. Il reprend ses formations de base du » parfait immigré intégré « .
Devenu chef cuisinier, Christian affiche désormais une expérience de près de 10 ans dans le métier. Il se dit capable d’associer les saveurs diététiques et de contribuer à la cuisine moderne en apportant une touche nutritionnelle de la cuisine congolaise et africaine de son enfance.
Au Danemark, il a lancé un service traiteur africain et européen disponible pour toute l’Europe pour les événements tels que : mariages, baptêmes, anniversaires, grandes fêtes en famille et autres réjouissances culinaires. A chaque prestation, il propose une cuisine moderne et créative s’inspirant de mets tant africains qu’européens.
Pour ce qui concerne ses projets au Congo, il compte, entre autres, ouvrir une grande école gastronomique où, espère-t-il, il aura l’opportunité de former les élèves /étudiants, partageant avec eux ses méthodes et son savoir-faire. Il pense également élargir son entreprise au niveau du Congo afin d’apporter une pierre à l’édifice en guise de reconnaissance au pays qui lui a donné, en 2009, une base solide, ce qui lui a permis de réussir et de s’épanouir dans son métier actuel.
